Jennifer Aniston

Is not an actress. There we go, I'm just putting it out there. Now, I'm not saying she is bad person, or an ugly person or anything like that. But, to be an actor or actress, there are certain criteria to be fulfilled;

1. One immerses themselves in their role. This means they adopting a characters habits, speaking patterns, facial expressions, etc. Unless every character Jennifer has ever played is exactly the same in all these areas, she's not acting.

2. An actor changes their appearance for different roles. Dressing differently, changing their hair colour or style, applying different makeup and so on. I submit to you,
Jennifer Aniston in "Friends":

Jennifer Aniston in "He's just not that into you"

Jennifer Aniston in "The Break-up"

Jennifer Aniston in "Rumour has it"

Now, just so you can see where I'm coming from, let's compare Jennifer to a real actress.

Meryl Streep in "The Devil Wears Prada"

Meryl Streep in "Mamma Mia"

Meryl Streep in "The Hours"

Thank you.

I have been wondering - since Friends - why she has not disappeared into obscurity.
There is the possibilty that she is riding a wave of sympathy, she is like the poster-girl for scorned women the world over now right?

That's hardly fair. Jennifer Aniston would be hauled in front of the international criminal court if she ever tampered with her hair, Nerd Girl.

IHMN - It doesn't seem fair, does it? I personally think Matt le Blanc would make a far better poster girl for scorned women.

Jacob - That's very true. In fact, the whole dead straight hair and slightly off centre part was really in in 1997 so who's to say it won't make a big comeback one of these days?

I see....Meryl Streep is a changeling of some kind.

Of the 'Friends' cast none have sunk to lower depths than David Schwimmer - reduced to the voice of an animated giraffe ('Madagascar') and Greenzo ('30 Rock'), a lame corporate environmental mascot.

Ms Aniston might be cast in the 'same old' roles over and over but at least she's got skillz to pay da bills.

I agree. Aniston is the most overrated thing at the moment.
