Well. The pictures you have to email to yourself. If you go to the help menu it tells you - I think you can either paste them into the blog, or you have to do something fancy with hosting. Re: links, Zosia can ehlp you out there.
Links are my new favourite thing - they are so easy. -
-highlight and copy the address
-Highlight the text you want to appear as the link
-click the link icon at menu bar (it's green)
-paste address
that should work. the phrase you want to appear should be in the middle of a stream of gobbldy-gook that is the web address plus a few extra characters.
Was that blog spam?
Yeah, I think so. How come I never get any? and how come they think a phrase like "hi again" will fool you into thinking: "Barb? Do I know a -oh, BARB! That was a great conversation we had in my blog comments the other day. I wonder how she's doing now? I hope she managed to sort out that problem with her boss and the dead plant and that guy who pretended to be Kevin Rudd's brother...hmmm... well, I better check out this link she's sent then..."
I had my first big of blog spam the other day - weird. I still can't work out links but I can do pictures - there's an insert picture icon when you're drafting your blog. So just save the pic on your pc and then browse for it. The other thing I can't work out how to do is a blog roll - how did you do it?!
If you go into Customize at top of page and then go into templates you can add or change page elements, and you can make one of those a blogroll. I just messed about until it did what I wanted, and not sure I can actually remember how I did it!
But if you go into Help on the dashboard, it's actually helpful. You can search via keyword for the topic you need help with.
Maybe there is a topic for How to Attract Spam that I need to read...
